Library Associates Companies (LAC) is seeking a dynamic Weekend Legal
Reference Librarian to provide weekend reference services to our client,
a global law firm of 700+ attorneys, located in Manhattan. This
position reports to the Research Manager and will be part of the library
& knowledge management staff in the firm's newly renovated department.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Weekend Reference Librarian is responsible for providing on-site
general, business and corporate reference services to patrons of the Law
Library. This work is predominantly carried out remotely.
Specific emphasis will be on:
* Meeting weekend research needs and KM database projects;
* Share responsibility for other projects as necessary.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday (Hours TBD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree from an ALA- accredited library school and/or
Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA- accredited law school;
* Knowledge of print and electronic legal research techniques;
* Strong service orientation;
* Strong oral and written communication skills;
* Salary commensurate with experience.
