Charging for Scanning Materials

We are a court library presently charging for copying and faxing
materials. We do not charge for emailing Lexis or Westlaw cases,
Shepardizing, or emailing from HeinOnLine, Loislaw or internet
accessible materials.

We have recently leased a new copier with scanning abilities. We can
now offer to scan documents and email them to our patrons.

1. Are you charging patrons for scanning documents? If so, how do
you structure your fees?

2. We anticipate scanning the requested item, emailing the result
to our inbox and attaching an invoice prior to sending. Is this how you
handle billing for scanned materials?

I will summarize for the list if anyone is interested.

Thanks,

Dawn
