Colleagues,
One of the reasons I am very proud to be president of the Asian
American Law Librarians Caucus is the accomplishments of our members.
Today is another special day, because I have great news regarding an
AALLc member in the DC area.
Joanne She will receive an Attorney General's Award at the "U.S.
Attorney General's 55th Annual Awards Ceremony" on Tuesday, October 2,
2007, 2:00pm., at Constitution Hall (Located on 18th Street between C
and D Streets, N.W. ).
Joanne's feelings upon receiving the news reminded me about what makes
this a great country. "As an Asian American, first generation
immigrant, I really appreciate the opportunities that this country has
provided me, the honor that the DOJ has offered me," Joanne She
replied. Please join me in congratulating Joanne.
Also, for librarians near District wanting to attend the ceremony, a
couple of spots are available, but please let me know as soon as
possible. I apologize for this short notice, but the security staff
must have the guest's name by September 21.
Thank you,
Andrew
