Greetings:
Do any of you have a database that would have these statutes (cites
below) - I've had no success locally. I've also tried various free,
online UK Statutes databases (from Avalon to BAILII to UKSTATUTES and
beyond) without success, but could have missed one - and then again,
lots of the repealed or superceded UK statutes aren't online except
maybe in not-for-prime-time versions.
Don't make yourself crazy looking, I do have a nearby library that has
them in print, but we'd just prefer the digital.

This Act extends the powers given by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act,
1939, and extends the initial date for its expiry to two years after the
1939 Act was passed (leaving the requirement for annual renewal after
then). It provides for citation with the 1939 Act as the Emergency
Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940.
This Act was repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act, 1950 (14 Geo. 6.
c. 6) and the Statute Law Revision Act, 1953 (2 & 3 Eliz. 2. c. 5).
3. Emergency Powers (Defence) (No. 2) Act, 1940 (3 & 4 Geo. 6. c. 45)
* Long title: An Act to remove doubts as to the extent of the
powers which may be exercised by His Majesty under the Emergency Powers
(Defence) Act, 1939.
* Date of Royal Assent: 1st August 1940.
This Act makes further provision for emergency powers, and provides that
it is to be included among the Acts cited together as the Emergency
Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940.
This Act was repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act, 1953 (2 & 3 Eliz.
2. c. 5).
