We 've been asked to find a list of construction employer councils in the
U.S. -- described to me as councils organized by union contractors to
negotiate contracts with unions and to administer pension and benefit
funds. Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council , Association of
Engineering Construction Employers (AECE) and Construction Employers
Association are examples.
It's beginning to look like if we need a list, we will have to compile it
ourselves (shudder). Is there anyone out there who knows of such a
list or directory?
We have checked with labor libraries, BNA Plus (Labor), Judy Diamond &
Associates, the Department of Labor, and have (you can imagine)
performed numerous Google searches. The councils found here are not the
kind we're looking for, since they are councils within unions:
