It is important and interesting to notice how the literature of a
professional field covers recent developments in communication and
communication within a field in terms of new technologies and new ways of
communicating. Law is no stranger to weblogs including those from law
sources such as firms and weblogs whose main topic includes law as an
aspect of the weblog's purpose. A search of law in post title in Blog
Search of Google finds this result:
Blog Search Results 1 - 50 of about 2,255,167 for allintitle: law.
A search of the word law anywhere in a post indexed by Blog Search finds
this result:
Blog Search Results 1 - 50 of about 44,182,976 for law.
Using CLJC as a barometer of the kind of publishing in law journals
regarding the use of weblogs in the field of law will provide some idea,
certainly not a definitive one, as to the kind of attention and the
reasons for this attention that is being received in law journals and
law trade journals regarding weblogs. This is a sample of the 39
citations found searching this source for this word, weblog and its
variants and for the concept of RSS as well. It would appear by this
contrast in numbers that weblogs are paying a tidal wave more of attention
to law than is being paid by law periodicals to either weblogs or RSS.
Here then is a sample of citations found from this database from the
results of this search in CLJC.
