Being part of the Tough Government Documents presentation was a blast! We
enjoyed providing ideas for non-traditional liaison and outreach ideas. Just
as interesting, we enjoyed showing how these "tough government documents"
allowed tough librarians to, well . . . get tougher.

SaraJean Petite has some great material on open-water swimming. A librarian
can possibly share this with swim clubs, water sport enthusiasts, and even
librarians who row themselves to work

(Perhaps Sara's tips on checking weather and water conditions would help
prevent that broken oar)

Andrew Pulau Evans demonstrated excellent combative and military material. A
librarian can share this with university martial arts clubs, martial arts
schools, ROTC programs, and criminal justice departments.

Incidentally, Andrew was inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Brent Johnson discussed various National and State parks. A librarian can
share this with the local Sierra Club, hiking clubs, mountain bikers,
rafting groups, and anyone looking for "active rest."
