Librarian - Dechert LLP

Dechert LLP, an international law firm, has an opening of Librarian to oversee their New York office library.

Responsibilities for the position include:
- provision of legal, corporate and general, quick and in-depth research using print and electronic resources to our legal and support staff
- overseeing of library operations (collection development, acquisitions, serial maintenance, invoice processing)
- participation in orientation and training of new employees in library resources and services
- coordination of training on online database resources by outside vendors
- preparation and implementation of library budget
- supervision and evaluation of library staff
- marketing of library services and resources
- working with firm-wide library team on projects and overflow research

Qualifications are:
-M.L.S.
- 3-5 years experience which should include some management and budgetary experience
- demonstrated in-depth knowledge of legal, business and general
online databases with strong research skills
- advanced knowledge of library integrated systems (SIRSI a plus)
- highly motivated, detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, time and project management skills
- excellent interpersonal and communications skills and with the ability to work gracefully under pressure a must
