LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (LIBRARY)
The DC office of Dickstein Shapiro LLP is currently seeking an
enthusiastic and proactive individual who will be responsible for a wide
range of comprehensive services and support for the various sections of
a large law firm Research Services Department.
Primary duties include responsibility for handling new subscriptions and
renewals and the subsequent financials for publications and databases;
providing effective oversight of invoice processing & subsequent
vendor-publisher payments originating in the Research Services
Department, in other administrative departments, and in attorney
offices; coordinating and resolving vendor-publisher subscription and
payment issues; maintaining significant up-to-date subscription and
correspondence files; handling staff travel arrangements; handling the
processing and payment of dues for staff professional memberships; and
handling special projects as assigned by the Manager of Library Services
and other Department supervisors.
Qualifications include: prior experience working in a fast-paced law
firm environment; strong attention to detail; and college degree
(business or accounting preferred). Strong inter-personal skills and
discretion; ability to learn new databases and grasp resource
applications; and excellent word processing skills are a must.
Familiarity with the SIMANET database is a preferred.
