With ALA in D.C. this week there has been lots of press about libraries,
some of it silly

than Marc Fisher's "Random Friday Question" in the Washington Post. It
was pointed out on the LLSDC listserv "That the question is even asked
is a little discouraging, but the comments he's received (at the bottom
of the column) are quite heartening."
