An invitation to newer librarians

Dear newer librarians:

There's never been a better time to become a Foreign, Comparative, and
International Law (FCIL) Librarian!

Even if you just dabble, joining the FCIL-SIS will get you in touch with
members, via the FCIL-SIS listserv and our newsletter, and our beautiful
website. Your AALL membership application has a box you can check to join
the FCIL-SIS for a nominal fee (or use this link:
https://secure.aallnet.org/sis_application.asp).

Going to New Orleans for the AALL meeting? No matter what SIS you're
interested in, consider attending that SIS's business meeting. Many SISes
have a fairly small turnout, and attendees may get introduced or otherwise
recognized (the FCIL-SIS Veterans Caucus actually awards a bottle of wine to
the newest librarian in attendance!). Even at large SIS business meetings
like the ALL-SIS meeting, you'll get to meet some active SIS members, and
you may have the chance to volunteer for a new committee or other activity.

Hoping to see you in New Orleans,

Mary
