Our guest today is Niagara County District Attorney Matthew J. Murphy III.
As District Attorney, Matt helped to develop a model domestic violence
program that has been set a new standard for the rest of New York State. He
is joined today by UB Clinical Professor Suzanne Tomkins to talk about his
work in domestic violence.

Matt's efforts have resulted in his presentation of the program to a seminar
at the National District Attorney's Association in Arlington, Virginia, in
May 1996. He also served on a New York State Task Force that developed a
Model Domestic Violence Policy for Counties. He also created the first
Criminal Environmental Task Force in Upstate New York in 1995.
