Information Resources Manager - California
Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an energetic individual to
manage the Library, Records and Docket departments in their Silicon
Valley office in California. The firm offers an active and challenging
work environment of 95 attorneys in a global law firm of over 1,900
attorneys. They have an extensive virtual library on the firm Intranet
available to all personnel. Their global catalog and reference support
encompasses 24 offices of the firm in the U.S., Europe and Asia. You
will be joining an active, cohesive group of 14 libraries in the firm
with a total library staff of over 70. Association membership and
professional conference attendance is underwritten by the firm for both
managers and reference librarians.
Primary responsibilities include supervision of a six-person staff,
budgeting, conducting training and orientations, providing reference
service using LEXIS, Westlaw, the internet, extensive intranet sources,
and other databases, organize and retrieve documents in the records
department, and supervise the docket department, including pleading and
calendaring functions.
Qualified candidates will possess a MLS or J.D. degree, a minimum of
five years experience in a law library or related industry library, and
supervisory experience. Law firm records and/or docket experience will
be preferred. Our client's compensation and benefits package is highly
