I could not find them on whose as it kept kicking out on me. According to the website FAQ, the authors are compensated. What is WOWIO? WOWIO is a new kind of online bookstore that enables readers to download ebooks for free, using commercial sponsorships to compensate authors and publishers. Readers get free ebooks. Sponsors get a powerful new channel to communicate their message to precisely the people they want to reach. Publishers get a new means of distributing their books, expanding their readership, and monetizing their intellectual property. http://www.wowio.com/help/helpmain.asp#newusers1 ________________________________ From: owner-law-lib@ucdavis.edu [mailto:owner-law-lib@ucdavis.edu] On Behalf Of DMende6938@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2007 5:30 PM To: law-lib@ucdavis.edu Subject: copyright question Hello, How can those new e-book sites, such as www.wowio.com, get away with offering books online for free?
