West Coast Librarian
(located in Palo Alto office)

Dechert LLP has an opening for a Librarian located in our Palo Alto office who will service our Palo Alto, San Francisco and Newport Beach offices. The ideal candidate will possess a superior knowledge of advanced legal and non-legal research techniques using print and electronic resources and be familiar with all aspects of law library operations including collection maintenance and development, invoice processing and interlibrary loan.

Responsibilities include providing legal, corporate, IP and general reference from both print and electronic resources, oversight of library maintenance, interlibrary loan, and coordinate evaluation of new acquisition requests for the 3 West coast libraries.
Coordinate online training for all attorneys and paralegals in the 3 West Coast offices. Library budget preparation and management for the three office libraries. The Librarian will work with library team in the other offices on projects and overflow research .

The individual will be a highly motivated team player, a self-starter with a demonstrated in-depth knowledge of online sources (Westlaw, LEXIS, LivEdgar, PACER, Courtlink, Delphion, Hoover's, etc.) and strong research skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work gracefully under pressure is a must.

Required:
MLS with 3+ years of professional law librarian experience.
