The Florida State University Law Library seeks a dynamic and innovative
Research and Instructional Technology Librarian to join our team.
Responsibilities:
This full-time position will provide research and instructional services
for faculty, students and other library users; provides oversight to
circulation services; teach Legal Research; supervise faculty research
assistants; prepare and update library research guides, pathfinders and
other research tools; participate in creating and maintaining the
library blog, podcasting, webcasting, and Web page; monitor availability
of electronic and print resources and recommend titles for purchase.
Required:
J.D. from ABA-accredited law school or equivalent and Master's degree in
Library and/or Information Science from ALA-accredited institution or
equivalent. Candidates near completion of required degrees will be
considered.
Preferred:
Demonstrated teaching ability and law library experience. Skill in using
instructional technology, web design, electronic resources, presentation
software, and webcasting.

The Law Library has 10 librarians, a library support staff of 7 and 5
FTE OPS staff. The Library occupies three floors of a modern building
which includes classrooms, law review offices, and the Legal Writing
instructors. The collection consists of approximately 510,000 volumes.
The library serves approximately 740 students and 52 faculty members.
