It is a mix of Bowie and Floyd, as noted by the author...
Pretty funny...Nowak deserves it! :)

I may be showing my age, but I thought this tune was David Bowie's. Ground
control to Major Tom, etc. Lyrics here:

I say more humor and fewer questions about servitudes of passage by
operation
of law!

Folks,

I think that we have gotten a bit serious lately on law-lib, so it is time
to
inject a little humor into the email. Here's a little ditty that I penned
under the parody fair use guidelines of the 2 Live Crew case entitled "Space
Oddity on the Dark Side of the Moon: The Ballad of Lisa Nowak" (with
apologies to David Bowie and Pink Floyd's Rodger Waters).

Space Oddity on the Dark Side of the Moon: The Ballad of Lisa Nowak

Ground control to Captain Lisa
Ground control to Captain Lisa
Get your weapons ready and put your diapers on

Ground control to Captain Lisa
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition and make sure your mace is ready

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five,
Four, three, two, one, liftoff

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon And if there is no room upon
the hill And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too I'll see you on
the dark side of the moon

This is Captain Lisa to ground control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

This is ground control to Captain Lisa
You've really done it now
And the papers want to know whose diapers you wear Now its time to leave
your
sanity if you dare

For here
I shout and no one seems to hear
The band I'm in starts playing different tunes Planet earth is blue, But I'm
on the dark side of the moon

Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles I'm feeling very sick And my
brain
just doesn't know which way to go Tell me kids I love them very much they
know

Ground control to Captain Lisa
Your circuits dead, there's something wrong Can you hear me, Captain Lisa?
Can you hear me, Captain Lisa?
Can you hear me, Captain Lisa?
Can you....

Here am I floating round my tin can
On the dark side of the moon
Planet earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do.
