Subject: Survey on International Borrowing and Lending
The ALA RUSA STARS International ILL Committee members invite you to
participate in an online survey on the topic of International Borrowing and
Lending. The purpose of the survey is to gain a better understanding of
barriers to this activity and to work to improve collaboration. Your
feedback will provide us with invaluable information about international
ILL activity in North American Libraries.
Your participation in this endeavor is strictly voluntary. You are welcome
to contact the chair of the committee, Jennifer Cella
(jcella@atlas-sys.com) if you have questions or concerns about the survey.
You may also contact Lynn Wiley, the survey administrator, at
lnwiley@uiuc.edu with any technical questions.
Any and all information we receive will be kept strictly confidential and
will only be seen by authorized members of the committee. Data gathered
from the survey will be summarized in the aggregate, excluding all
references to any individual responses. The aggregated results of our
analysis will be shared with ILL practitioners.
The target audience of the survey is interlibrary loan operations at
library's located within the United States of America. Please note that
for the purposes of this survey, Canada and Mexico are considered part of
the international community. Please submit only one survey per ILL office.
This online survey contain 59 questions and will take approximately 20-30
minutes to complete. The survey will be available until February 23rd,
2007.
