Cynthia's passing is a great loss to all of us. Her contributions to
law librarianship and AALL are countless. She was a valuable advisor to
CRIV on publisher related issues. My condolences to the colleagues who
had the privilege of working with her regularly.

"I thank God, we have no free schools nor printing; and I hope we shall
not have these hundred years; for learning has brought disobedience and
heresy and sects into the world; and printing has divulged them, and
libels against the government. God keep us from both."

- Governor Berkeley of Virginia, 1671
