Job Description:

This librarian provides classification and cataloging for legal
resources with some reference assistance to library users, with specific
attention to the use of legal resources.

Responsibilities include: * Identify and initiate classification and
cataloging of legal and other library resources in all formats,
including electronic. * Maintain current knowledge of classification and
cataloging. * Answer questions dealing with the law collection, and
maintain knowledge of other division collections, including federal and
state agency publications, genealogy, maps, and electronic resources. *
Research questions using resources in all formats, especially electronic
resources. * Prepare monthly and special reports on activities. *
Provide library tours; plan and present workshops; and provide
bibliographic instruction in the use of library materials.

Desired Qualifications: * Knowledge of cataloging and classification,
libraries and library work, particularly with legal materials, state and
federal government structure and processes. * Experience in customer
service work and possess knowledge and attributes of providing excellent
customer service. * Experience and skills in computer research
(searching and web page work). * Experience and proficiency with word
processing and spreadsheet programs, with knowledge of database design
desirable. * Advanced degree preferred (MLS and/or JD).

Salary range - $$38,000 - $44,000 DOE
