AALL Awards Announcement

From: Carol Bredemeyer (bredemeyer@nku.edu)
Date: Tue Jan 23 2007 - 06:20:01 PST

This announcement is cross-posted to several lists to reach a wide
audience - my apologies for duplication to many of you.

As Chair of AALL's Awards Committee, I want to remind you that the
nomination deadline of February 1 for most of the awards is just around
the corner. Take one last minute to think about whether you would like
to nominate an individual (Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service
Award or the Public Access to Government Information Award), a product
from a publisher (New Product Award, Joseph L. Andrews Bibliographical
Award), or a product from your library (Law Library Publication Awards,
Thomson/West Excellence in Marketing Awards). There is also the Chapter
Professional Development Award. These awards give us the opportunity to
recognize outstanding individuals who work with us and the sources we
create and use in our daily work.

Details on how to submit nominations for awards were in the November
issue of AALL Spectrum (pages 24-25) or can be viewed at the Committee's
website,

http://www.aallnet.org/about/awards.asp.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about any of the
awards.

"Every man owes some of his time to the upbuilding of the profession to
which he belongs."

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the
president, or that we are to stand by the president
right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is
morally treasonable to the American public."
