I am trying to compile some industry benchmarks for private law firm
Library budgets. At your Library, what percent of the total expense
budget at your Firm is the Library budget?
And, what percent of the expense budget is your Library budget?
In your response, please include the following additional details:
1. Firm Size (<100, Between 101-300, or >300)
2. Specify what you include in the budget (Lexis/Westlaw, other online
research tools, staff salaries, etc.)
By way of example -
>From a 200 atty firm in Charlotte:
Library budget (less people) is .1.37% of total expense budget,
including the portion of Westlaw/Lexis that they do not recover.
