If anyone has utilized or applied for federal funds for self-represented law library programs, you may be interested in the following message.

This e-mail is being sent to all members of www.selfhelpsupport.org.

As you may know, the Self Represented Litigation Network is working on a document that will list and describe potential sources of federal funding for self represented litigation programs. We have already found a significant number of funding programs that may be appropriate for courts and/or their partners in access to justice. We think that it will be really helpful in expanding programs and their visibility to share and expand on this information.

We would like, however, to strengthen the document with a better sense of what actually happens in practice, what federal funders are actually looking for, and what techniques have been particularly helpful in the funding process. (This will also help us make sure that we are not missing any programs.)

Rather than asking you to fill in (another) survey, we are asking that anyone who gets or has gotten federal money for self-represented litigation support programs let us know, and we will then call you and then interview you briefly about it. (We will, of course, only quote you with your permission). If there is someone else in your program who might be the person to respond, please pass this on to them - and encourage them to join www.selfhelpsupport.org.

Thanks so much.
