Library Associates is seeking a Legal Research Librarian for a prominent national law library in their San Francisco Bay area offices. This position will report to the Manager of Library Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*
Perform billable research and provide reference services (legal and business with an emphasis in the areas of IP, litigation and corporate) for legal and administrative staff;
* Coordination of non-billable research and reports for Client Development and Marketing Teams;
* Assistance with collection development and day-to-day maintenance of print libraries.
QUALIFICATIONS
* MLS from an ALA accredited institution;
* Minimum of three years of previous library experience (Law library experience preferred);
* Proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw, Dialog, Delphion, Microsoft Word and Excel;
* Knowledge of other commercial databases such as D&B, CCH & RIA a plus;
* Strong customer service skills and excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision;
* Ability to occasionally travel inter-office as well as to professional events as required;
