Happy New Year, All!
We have a section of what we are told is part of the City of Montgomery
Business License Ordinance - we have the section on Insurance companies
(which is section (g), but would like to see the whole ordinance for
reference as well as citation purposes.
If anyone can provide a copy of the ordinance, or point me to it online,
I'd be very grateful. I've looked online, and although Montgomery
ordinances pop up here and there, this one didn't come up in my
searching.
The section that I have reads in part:
g. Insurance Companies:
(1) Fire and Marine Insurance - Each person, firm, or corporation
doing business in the City of Montgomery shall pay $4.00 on each $100.00
and a major fraction thereof of the gross premiums on policies,
including renewals, issued for the preceding calendar year on property
located in the City of Montgomery, less premiums returned by
cancellation;
Looks like it could be on page 18 of the ordinance or possibly of the
book it's contained in.
