Summary of Answers:
1.The EPA site, under enforcement/compliance and Lexis are best. If this
doesn't pan out, try contacting your nearest EPA library (assuming it is
still open) and ask if they can search for you.
2.Not all consent orders are published in the federal register for
comment. If you need documents, you will have to do a FOIA with EPA.
Question:
I'm trying to find the best way to search for consent orders with the
EPA. We have the generator names for various superfund sites but are
having a hard time locating any administrative consent orders or consent
decrees. My understanding is the Federal Register publishes these for
notice and comment. We have searched on Westlaw, Lexis, Pacer,
GPOAccess Federal Register, and the EPA site. Can anyone offer any
other sites or reasons why these may not be available? Not sure if this
matters but it's dealing with hazardous waste cleanup.
Thanks so much - Jill
