Dear Law-libbers: I wanted to let you know what I've learned about the
delayed emails on law-lib. It is a problem on our end(see below) but I
am told that we can expect improvement soon. I'm sorry for the delays
and hope to have this resolved. Thanks for your patience.

Judy,

The campus list server is experiencing an extremely heavy load which is
resulting in delays in the processing of list emails. System
Administrators worked on a short term solution to ease the load for the
immediate time frame and are looking at long term architecture changes
to
maintain effective communications through the list server. In
particular,
the mailing list hardware will be upgraded on 10-13-06.

If you have any questions concerning this issue or any other concerns
with
campus computing services please contact IT Express at 530-754-4357 or
ithelp@ucdavis.edu. You can check the status of the list server at
http://status.ucdavis.edu/.

Thank you,

Nancy Wallace
