I am interested in locating firms that are listed within the top 100 AMLAW/NLJ with a national library director/manager. If you do have a national library director/manger, do the individual office librarians report to this position and or to their office's Director of Administration/Manager? From the people I have talked to so far in Chicago, it appears that most national firms individual office librarians report directly to their Director of Administration or Office Manager, consulting with the main office's librarian on purchasing of electronic services and bulk subscriptions.

Reference requests are sent to the main office and then assigned to the various office librarians, depending
upon their availability.
Do you use a virtual reference software? If so, please name the service.

Questions are referred by the individual office's library staff to the main office only when staff is out of the
office and or workload is too heavy to handle?
Questions are referred to specific librarians depending upon their speciality (trademark, patent,
copyright, securities research, etc.)
6. Are requests from your marketing staff, delegated to a specific person or position within the library?
Does each office's library staff handle requests from the marketing staff in their office or
are do these requests come through the main office's marketing staff.
