What? Collaborate and Innovate

Where? Airport Marriott, Cincinnati

When? November 10th, 9:30 - 5:00

Who? AALL/PLL (Private Law Librarians Special Interest Group), SLA Legal
Division, SLA Kentucky Chapter, SLA Cincinnati Chapter

Collaborate and Innovate will be the theme for a day long conference
which will bring together special librarians from all over the Kentucky,
Ohio and Indiana region on November 10th. The Kentucky and Cincinnati
Chapters of SLA, the AALL/PLL, and the SLA Legal Division will
collaborate to create this interesting day of professional development
and networking.

The day will include nationally recognized keynote speaker, Susan
Freeman. The dynamic Ms. Freeman is a coach/consultant with Workwise
Partners and will speak on emotional intelligence, personality skills
and how to use them in the workplace. She has been a speaker at AALL and
SLA national conferences.

Now we need you! Have you been collaborating with other institutions in
your area? Have you and your IT department teamed up on a new service
for clients? Are you instituting an innovative solution to problem?

Propose a mini-session to be an integral part of the day and show your
colleagues what is being done at your library or organization.

To be selected, please send a proposal which includes

* a paragraph describing your session,

* what your equipment needs are, and

* which organizations you hold membership in (AALL/PLL, SLA Legal

Division, SLA KY, SLA Cinci).

Sessions will be 45 minutes long.

Deadline for submission is October 11. The planning committee will make
decisions by October 18.
