Our client, a major international law firm, is seeking a Research
Librarian for its Atlanta office. The research librarian will work as a
member of a team of librarians to provide legal and business research
and information services to attorneys, paralegals and support staff
firm-wide. This includes collection development and maintenance,
current awareness services, and research-related training.
Requirements:
* MLS and a JD from an accredited law school
* Minimum 3 years of law firm experience; at least 2 years as a
reference librarian, preferably in a law library
* Exceptional legal and business research skills, utilizing both
print and online resources such as Lexis and the Internet
* Experience in quickly assessing information needs and then
determining the resources to provide accurate, cost-effective and timely
research
* Familiarity with new research sources and technologies
beneficial to the operations of the library
* Strong presentation skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and multiple
deadlines
