University of South Carolina School of Law invites applications
for the position of Director of the Law Library. The Director is
the chief administrative officer of the Law Library and reports
directly to the Dean of the Law School. Candidates must have a
J.D. degree from an A.B.A. approved law school and preferably
a M.L.S. from an A.L.A. accredited library school. Substantial
academic law library experience, experience in management of
staff and budgets and collection development are required.
Successful use of technology to enhance library services and a
commitment to scholarship and relevant contributions to
librarianship are highly desirable. This is an academic
faculty/tenure-track position with opportunities for teaching.
