Thanks to all who responded to my question about the meaning of
"Government's Lodging." Beecher Ellison, Josephine County Law Library,
Oregon, knew that "lodgings" is an archaic word meaning the bound
documents submitted in a case. By the way, this word does not appear in
the current Black's. That's one of the things I love about this job. I
learn something new every day. Thanks again.
