BNA's Tax Management Portfolios

The law library at William & Mary is considering cancelling the print
version of BNA's Tax Management Portfolios and relying instead on the
online versions available from BNA and Lexis.

The problem is that pagination is not available in the online
versions. We are thinking of encouraging our law reviews to switch
from citing the pages to citing the headings, since the latter are
available in print and online. These headings are arranged in an
outline format with main headings and subheadings indicated by roman
numerals and capital letters. We're not sure if these headings would
be appropriate for pinpoint citations. Most authors of law review
articles cite to these Portfolios using page numbers, but we don't
want to keep spending $$$ on these print publications just for the
page numbers.

If your library has switched from the print to online version of
BNA's Tax Management Portfolios or if you have faced a similar
situation in losing access to pagination, we'd like to hear how you
handled the situation.

Thanks.
