Colleagues,
[Cross-posted - please excuse duplication]
The ALL-SIS Faculty Services Committee invites you to join the newest
installment of the Faculty Services Discussion List on AALLNET. This
Thursday (May 4th) we will begin a two-day discussion of service to
non-law faculty. Our moderator, Liz Goldberg, a reference librarian
at Indiana University School of Law, describes the topic this way:
Everyone knows that the primary clients of any academic law library
are the law school's own faculty and students, but for those of us in
a university setting, what about the rest of the faculty and students
on campus? What level of service do we provide to them?
The answer no doubt varies from law library to law library and
involves issues of budgets, staffing, administrative priorities, and
university politics. I'd like to explore this topic together to
learn who is doing what for non-law faculty, as well as how and
why. This should be an interesting, enlightening discussion!
If you haven't joined the discussion list yet, subscribing is easy:
