Colleagues,
Re: Ken Svengalis's message about West price increases, and
their refusal to abide by the guidelines for legal
publishers.
Perhaps it is time for AALL to refuse to accept funds and
advertising from publishers that do not abide by the terms
of the guidelines. I believe the association's credibility
as an advocate for the best interests of law libraries and
law librarians is diminished by our reliance on funding from
companies whose business practices are making it difficult
for us to do our jobs effectively.
