AALL's 2006 Legislative Advocacy Leadership Training
From: Mary Alice Baish (baish@law.georgetown.edu)
Date: Mon Apr 24 2006 - 14:01:42 PDT
Please join the Government Relations Committee, the Washington
Office, and a room full of law librarians for the very exciting Legislative
Advocacy Leadership Training in St. Louis on Saturday, July 8th.
All politics is local, and this is a great opportunity to learn more about
AALL's legislative agenda and how you can help us promote our
positions on crucial policy and legislative matters. It's also a great opportunity
to network with other active law librarians, learn some effective advocacy
techniques and tips, and make a real impact on the future of our profession.
This year's half day workshop will focus especially on three areas of concern
to our community: public law library funding issues, changes to the Federal
Depository Library Program, and “Orphan Works” legislation. While there is
no cost for this important training session, we ask that you please register
by June 15th by contacting Mary Alice Baish at baish@law.georgetown.edu.
A copy of the agenda follows. We look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks!
