Client Validation Software & Lexis Alerts

Good afternoon,

I am looking for feedback from anyone who uses client validation
software called LookUp Precision. It is produced by Advanced
Productivity Software (APS). We are having some problems with this
product's interaction with Lexis.com. I would like feedback on the
following issues:

1. Are you able to bypass LookUp Precision when working on Lexis.com
outside of your firm's network? We are encountering problems with using
Lexis.com away from the office because the client validation software
cannot pull up our client list, and it won't let us bypass it to
continue with the sign-on process. We are able to suspend the client
validation process when signing onto Westlaw.com outside of the firm
network.

2. Do you have problems either setting up new Alerts or running
previously set Alerts with the client validation program in place? We
are finding that our Alerts are not running, and we can't set up new
ones when a search is completed. LookUp Precision does not seem to have
a problem working with Lexis.com for signing and doing research when
working in the office. Our account rep tells us that the Alert problem
is because we require too many fields in the LookUp Precision process
(client number, matter number, timekeeper number and descriptive
comment). That doesn't make sense to me because those are the same
fields required when signing onto Lexis for a research session.

I would love to hear from anyone who has this product tied to Lexis.com.
Are you having similar problems? Did you have these problems and fix
them? What was your secret? I'll be happy to summarize responses if
there's an interest.

Thank you in advance.
