The BNA Library has the following opening for a full-time,
temporary summer job from approximately May/June 2006
through August 2005. Start and end dates are negotiable.

Function: Enters data from surveys sent to state and
federal courts to update their profile in BNA's Directory of
State and Federal Courts, Judges, and Clerks.

Duties:

1. Enters edited information from court surveys into the
    court database following established guidelines and
    policies.
2. Edits and proofs returned court surveys.
3. Calls state and federal courts that do not return court
    surveys to obtain information on court changes
    including new judge names, addresses, phone or fax
    numbers, etc.
4. Conducts Internet research on courts to obtain the most
    current information from the court.
5. Participates in special projects and performs other
    duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Basic understanding of standard proofing marks.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform data entry/keyboarding with BNA
training.
- Pleasant phone manner/good oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. legal system a plus.

Education: High school or equivalent.
Experience: None required.
