Subject: [sla-dsol] law librarian assistance
Date: Fri, 3 Mar 2006 07:26:13 -0500

If any firm librarians could offer assistance it would be greatly
appreciated. I have been told that I need to get rid of most of my
print resources and replace them with "free internet sites"; the
committee believes we are behind everyone else because we actually use
BOOKS; we do have Westlaw, however it is also believed by the committee
that it can be replaced with ":free internet sites".

What I'd like to know is, how many attorneys you have in your firm, and
the number of print titles you have in your catalog. I'd like to get
some statistics to show that other firms and libraries actually use
print resources and we are not archaic because we do!!! Also, if you
have any experiences with "free internet sites" (good or bad) I'd like
to know.

Thanks for your help!
