Hi all,

Please pardon my ignorance in this area of law, but...
When a company files under California state law a "general assignment"
for the benefit of creditors (a type of liquidation, similar to a
liquidation administered under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code), where
is that proceeding filed? Is it filed in the county court system as a
civil matter, or is there a special administrative or judicial venue for
the filing of general assignments?

Thank you,
Martha
