Hi,
Does anyone on the list have ideas/suggestions/brainstorms as to who might
have access to either prospectuses or annual reports from mutual funds in
the 1960's and early 1970's? I'm looking for such materials from the
Massachusetts Investors Trust or (specifically) the Massachusetts Investors
Second Fund from around 1969, when a major change was made in the way these
funds were administered (creating MFS Investment Management). We do have a
query into the SEC but do not know yet how availing that will be.
I'm skeptical that anyone on this list would *have* these items -- but
maybe someone will have a hunch how to proceed in looking that we haven't
come up with or has looked for similar materials in the past.
The 'Second Fund' became the Massachusetts Investors Growth Stock Fund, and
still exists. Ideally we'd see prospectuses and/or annual reports from
years just before and just after 1969.
I've found some libraries that do indicate holdings for the annual reports
of the MIT fund (though not for the Second Fund, which we care about more
for this project), but actual item holdings seem to be from earlier time
periods only.
