Good afternoon, Law-libbers,
I have three questions about product labeling and design that need PDQ
answers (which I don't have) so I'm turning to you, and am hopeful that
you've got the answers and the time to share them.
1. Who writes product labels? We're thinking advertising executives
and manufacturers might, but want to confirm that if it is true, or find
out who does if it isn't true.
2. What do they use to write product labels? I've found FTC guidance
online and items published by various industry associations, but the
attorney would prefer to have a title for a book or treatise which
covers the topic in general and gives forms. Searches on OCLC have
yielded nothing comprehensive. If you know of such a "beast," I'd love
to have the bib info.
3. Anyone know of a treatise which discusses product and trademark
design-around principles? We have McCarthy, but the attorney would
prefer something else which focuses more on this concept.
Of course, I will be eternally grateful if you can share your knowledge
so I can assist the attorney promptly, and would be happy to return the
favor at the first opportunity.
TIA,
