Harriet Miers

Thanks to Samuel Trosow and Stanley Conrad for stating the bleedin'
obvious so succinctly and accurately. it is hard to think of any
issue that ought to be more important to a person with any connection
to the law than the suitability or otherwise of a nominee to a
position on the highest court in the land. The issue of whether
Harriet Miers IS a suitable nominee is generating a LOT of interest
and discussion, as far away from the USA as over here in Australia -
so why in heaven's name ought it not be considered an appropriate
topic on Law-Lib. Only last night, on our national TV, there was an
interview from Australia, via satellite, with Professor Allan
Dershowitz about the suitability (or otherwise) of Harriet Miers.
Frankly, i am shocked that any intelligent Law-Librarian could
seriously attempt to argue that this is other than an appropriate
topic for discussion on Law-Lib, and seek to censor it.
