A message last month from Patricia ORR to the PLL-SIS list stated:
Measure a volume at 2-2.5 inches.
Measure 5-6 volumes per linear feet.
Our architect in 1996 estimated 4 volumes per linear foot.

Subject: number of book per linear foot
Good Morning All:
I need to know how many books would be in 1,098 linear feet.
I have found some information indicating that the number is 10 books per
linear foot. This agrees with what I remember from my cataloging class
years ago. Can anyone help me out? thanks
