I have a doctor's last name and a DEA number. Is there any registry of these numbers or way to check if the doctor you think is right matches a particular number? I can't find this number on certification searches from the AMA, ABIM or ABMS or from the state registries of physicians. The local medical school library couldn't suggest anything, but I didn't want to give up so easily. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
