This discussion reminds me of a period of time when I was practicing law at a litigation firm. Of course, we all know that attorneys are notorious for constructing an "honor wall," and everyone else in the firm was so inclined. I didn't especially feel the need to try to impress clients beyond providing service they would appreciate, but one of the junior partners of the firm suggested that it would be a good idea if I would hang my diplomas and awards. Well, I did. six months later I was in my office when the senior partner walked in to have a discussion about some pending matter. We were well into the conversation when he stopped abruptly and started intently at my "honor wall." Then he stated, "Well, God damn, Chas. I never saw anyone just staple 'em to the wall before."

Subject: RE: "MLS" vs. "MA" or "MS"
My MLS has been hanging on my wall since I earned it 22 years ago - in
all three firms I've worked for. I figure if the attorneys can do it, so
can I.
