In trying to resolve some corporate data inconsistencies with a customer
service representative at Autotrack this morning, I was informed that over
the Jan. 29/30 weekend, the company will be performing an extensive
corporate data refresh for New Jersey and Delaware, and that the data will
include fictitious/DBA names.
My question arose with respect to NJ records, so I can only speak to my
particular experience with those records, and not DE records. That said,
I'm posting this information because Lexis currently doesn't provide access
to NJ SOS corporate records (only business licenses and DBA records) and
Westlaw, while it purports to provide access to NJ corporate records, is
apparently not comprehensive because it did not have the record I was
seeking (for a company incorporated in January of 2003).
