Good morning, all. I bet I find many of you are off for MLK Holiday today. Enjoy.
If there is anyone around, I'd love some input on a question I have. I'm looking for a 50 state survey (chart?) of "late fees which may be assessed on consumer purchases/retail accounts" such as store credit cards, online purchases, etc." These late fees may fall under the same laws as for mortgages and regular credit cards.
You'll recall I'm just starting my consulting business so I do feel odd about posting a request. But I guess I'm in the same "for profit" boat as everyone else who posts questions, so I'll get over my reservations.
Where I've looked:
I think NCLC title "Cost of Credit" is a good place to start but I can only find the TOC on the web. No local library or my law school owns it.
I don't have access to CCH Consumer Credit.
I do have access to Martindale Hubbell Law Digest in print and that's my next stop.
I don't have an ALR index.
I've been all over the web, finding bits and pieces but nothing comprehensive for any secondary materials (a good article would be a starting point I'd make work.)
I've found a few stray web sites and pieces I'll be exploring today.
It's just that I can't believe there is not some sort of chart/table that summarizes this point.
Thanks for any direction you can give me!!
