RESEARCH LIBRARIAN

 
Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University seeks a Research
Librarian for its law library. The Research Librarian plays an
important role in delivering a variety of legal research services to
faculty, students, and public patrons of the library. Specific duties
include assisting faculty members with research projects, providing
legal research instruction to students, staffing the reference desk,
preparing library publications (e.g., research guides, bibliographies,
web page content), and collaborating with other librarians on collection
development. Reasonable evening and/or weekend hours are required.
This position reports to the Library Director.
 
Qualifications: MLS or equivalent from an ALA-approved program; JD;
demonstrated competence with print and electronic legal research
resources; strong service orientation; good communications skills;
flexibility; creativity; and initiative. Preference will be given to
candidates with experience in a law library and teaching experience.
 
The salary is competitive and a full benefits package is included. This
