This is becoming fairly common behaviour for the more sophisticated virus
writers. You identify one or more groups, and set the virus up to transmit
itself within those groups.

However, this might just be an older kind of virus problem. Suppose some
law library somewhere has an infected computer, and suppose its
addressbook is full of law librarians. Viruses generally transmit
themselves using the infected computer's addressbook, and such a computer
would by necessity be trying to infect other law library computers.
